Barrasso Usdin Secures Another Win for the Welding Industry
Barrasso Usdin lawyers have secured their fifth consecutive defense verdict for the welding consumable manufacturing industry. After a two-week trial in the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio, a jury delivered a unanimous verdict in favor of The Lincoln Electric Company, the only remaining defendant in the case. Richard E. Sarver and Craig Isenberg led a national defense team in this case, which is part of a multi-district litigation proceeding. The trial team has won every case it has tried on behalf of the welding industry. These jury verdicts have resulted in dismissal of thousands of cases by plaintiffs around the country. Previous victories include three other national multi-district litigation cases and a four-plaintiff case in Louisiana state court (Civil District Court, Orleans Parish). Each one of these cases has resulted in unanimous jury defense verdicts. The trial team included associates Andrea Mahady Price, Kristin Beckman, and Brad Cousins, and paralegals Lisa Fenasci LaFrance and Laura Ponoroff.
Case name: Mann v. Airco/The BOC Group, Inc. et al., In re: Welding Fume Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1535 (N.D. Ohio).
