Firm Offers Pro Bono Assistance to Public Defenders

Barrasso Usdin attorneys have offered their assistance to the Orleans Public Defenders Office, which is struggling with a historically high caseload and a shrinking budget. As part of the effort, firm attorneys, including Michael Balascio, Kristin Beckman, Brad Cousins, Catherine Giarrusso, Bruce Hamilton, James Michaels, Sarah Rubin, and Erica Therio have volunteered to represent and defend the rights of indigent criminal defendants in New Orleans on a pro bono basis.
