Barrasso Usdin Announces Two New Members

Barrasso Usdin Kupperman Freeman & Sarver is pleased to announce the promotion of two attorneys. The firm welcomes Kristin L. Beckman and Jamie L. Berger as members of the firm.

Kristin L. Beckman focuses her practice on complex litigation matters, including product liability, business torts, insurance coverage, contracts and general commercial disputes. Kristin is active in professional and community organizations. She was selected as a member of the 2012-2013 Louisiana State Bar Association’s Leadership Class and is currently serving on the Board of the Association for Women Attorneys. She routinely provides pro bono representation to those in need.

Jamie L. Berger focuses her practice on complex litigation, commercial disputes and securities arbitration. She has litigated and advised clients in a wide variety of areas, including securities, corporate governance, contractual disputes, antitrust, and creditors’ rights in complex Chapter 11 cases. She also has represented clients in government and regulatory investigations involving alleged securities fraud, accounting fraud, and tax fraud. Jamie’s clients have come from a variety of industries, including finance, energy, communications, transportation, entertainment, and real estate. Jamie is active in the community, and serves on the Advisory Board of the Anti-Defamation League (South Central Region). She was recently selected to receive the 2012 Barney Mintz New Leadership Award for her work with the ADL.
