Laura C. Cannon practices in the areas of commercial litigation, securities litigation, and insurance coverage and bad faith litigation.
Before joining the firm, Laura served as a law clerk to the Honorable Nannette Jolivette Brown, Chief Judge, of the United States District Court of the Eastern District of Louisiana. While in school, Laura served as an intern to the Honorable Sarah S. Vance and the Honorable Judge Brown, Chief Judge, of the United States District Court of the Eastern District of Louisiana.
Laura received her Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University cum laude. She received her Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Tulane University Law School. While at Tulane Law, Laura served as Senior Managing Editor for the Tulane Law Review and President of Law Women. During her tenure on the law review, she was one of only ten recipients nationally to receive the Burton Award for her law review comment.
Laura is a board member of the Younger Lawyer's Division of the Federal Bar Association and the Tulane Law Review Alumnae Association. She is also a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the American Association of Women Attorneys, and the New Orleans Bar Association. Laura volunteers with the New Orleans Pro Bono Project.
