Barrasso Usdin Welcomes 3 New Associates

Barrasso Usdin Kupperman Freeman & Sarver is pleased to announce the addition of three new associates: Whitney M. Antoine, Taylor L. Gamm, and Aaron M. Ruffin.

Whitney M. AntoineWhitney M. Antoine
Before joining the firm, Whitney served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ivan L.R. Lemelle of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. Whitney also served as an extern for Magistrate Judge Erin Wilder-Doomes in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana.  She received her Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Southern University Law Center and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University.  While in law school, Whitney served as senior editor for the Journal of Race, Gender, & Poverty and chairman of the Moot Court Board.  She was also a teaching assistant to Chancellor John Pierre and a research assistant for Professor Nadia Nedzel, focusing primarily on Louisiana obligations.  Whitney is licensed to practice in Louisiana. 

Taylor L. GammTaylor L. Gamm
Before joining the firm, Taylor served as a law clerk to the Honorable Kurt D. Engelhardt of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.  She also served as law clerk to the Honorable Michael J. Newman of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.  Taylor received her Juris Doctor summa cum laude from the University of Cincinnati College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics magna cum laude from Bellarmine University.  While in law school, Taylor served as the Notes and Comments Editor for the University of Cincinnati Law Review and was a research assistant for Professor Sandra Sperino.  Taylor is licensed to practice law in Ohio, and is not currently licensed in Louisiana.

Aaron M. RuffinAaron M. Ruffin
Before joining the firm, Aaron served as a law clerk to the Honorable Dontae L. Bugg of the 19th Judicial Circuit of Virginia.  He received his law degree from George Washington University Law School, where he was the senior staff editor for the American Intellectual Property Law Association Quarterly Journal, a member of the Moot Court Board, and President of the Black Law Students Association.  Aaron received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University.  While in law school, Aaron was a research assistant to the GWU Trial Advocacy Department.  He also served as a summer law clerk to the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps.  Before law school, Aaron was a mathematics instructor in Atlanta through the Teach For America program.  Aaron is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia, and is not currently licensed in Louisiana.
