Barrasso Team Competes in the New Orleans Bar & Grille Cooking Competition Benefiting Southeast Louisiana Legal Services

March 30, 2015

On Sunday, March 22nd, Barrasso Usdin participated in the 13th annual New Orleans Bar & Grille law firm cooking competition organized by the Young Lawyers Section of the New Orleans Bar Association. The event, held at City Park’s Peristyle, included live entertainment, free drinks, and a sampling of each team’s dishes. The law firms participating in the cook-off prepared their own meals, decorated their booth, and competed for the following award categories: Best Local Favorite, Best Dessert, Most Creative, Best Booth Decoration, Crowd Favorite, and Best Overall. All proceeds from the event were donated to Southeast Louisiana Legal Services, a nonprofit law firm that provides legal services to low-income people in civil cases.

The firm’s team, “Barrasso on da Bayou,” kicked off their second year participating in the competition with a bayou theme. Barrasso’s menu consisted of jambalaya, grilled corn & watermelon salad, and a Cajun lemonade cocktail. We are very proud of our team members – Kristin Beckman, Kimberly R. Silas, Zachary I. Rosenberg, Robert J. Dressel and Jordan Ollestad – for doing such a fantastic job. All who attended had a great time, and it was for a good cause.
