Judy Barrasso Named to Benchmark’s Top 250 Women in Litigation 2015

July 9, 2015

Barrasso Usdin is pleased to announce that founding member Judy Barrasso has been selected for inclusion in Benchmark’s Top 250 Women in Litigation for 2015. Judy is one of only five women recognized in the State of Louisiana. Below is the commentary from the publication:

“Year after year, Judy Barrasso pulls in robust praise for her successful insurance coverage practice at Barrasso Usdin Kupperman Freeman & Sarver, where she is a founding member and name partner. Her clients have included such well-established companies as Allstate, and she is known for handling even the most delicate issues with sensitivity and grace. Based out of New Orleans, Barrasso recently was retained as coordinating counsel by Liberty Mutual in litigation stemming from Hurricane Sandy in which plaintiffs sought to recover damages allegedly caused during the “superstorm.” She is currently lead counsel in a putative class action against insurance provider Allied World that alleges exposure to the bacteria Legionella and/or Pseudomonas aeruginosa purportedly originating from the hot tub of a hotel and conference center in Covington, Louisiana.”

Top 250 Women in Litigation is published by Legal Media Group, a division of Euromoney Institutional Investor. The women featured in the publication were selected from Benchmark Litigation’s “local litigation stars” category. The guide’s “local litigation stars” reflect lawyers who are recommended by peers and clients to have established consistent reputations as trial attorneys.

Information from the publication can be found on the Benchmark Litigation website.
