In re: DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc., Pinnacle Hip Implant Products
A Barrasso Usdin trial team successfully defended Johnson & Johnson and DePuy Orthopaedics in the first bellwether trial in the multidistrict litigation involving a DePuy hip implant. After an eight-week trial in Dallas, Texas, the federal jury on October 23, 2014, returned a unanimous defense verdict. Partners Richard E. Sarver, Celeste Coco-Ewing, and Andrea Mahady Price served as DePuy’s trial counsel, along with Michael A. Balascio, and Kyle W. Siegel.
This was the second win for the trial team who previously secured a complete defense verdict in a bellwether trial involving a different hip implant trial in 2013.
